Audi is number 5! Now that doesnt apply to my wagon, as its basically bullet proof, 276k and still going strong.
Also I found a nice note on the car this week:
Sorry Anthony, shes not available, but even if she was there’s a list of people before you.
In other news, the Fikse center came in. I dropped all four off at the shop, 2 are getting rebuilt, and the rest are getting cleaned up, then mounted and balanced. Hoping for the end of the month. If Im lucky/efficient I may even be able to slide the custom suspension in.... IF.

Dear Anthony,
*you’re interested
Signed Oppo.
Congrats on the bulletproof Audi! I do find it hard to believe that at least $9k hasn’t been spent between oil changes, tires, fluids, wipers, lights, and other maintenance items over the course of 276k miles though...

Apparently my german mini costs less to maintain than the subarus the rest of my family owns. Somehow I don’t believe that.

As an E39 owner.... yeah that’s about right. Though acura and mini should really be flipped unless they are getting Acura for the 00s autos. But minis are in the shop just as much as BMWs, granted parts are cheaper but they shouldn’t be that low. Source: friend works at a BMW and Mini dealer
Also wow thats a damn good looking wagon, and I like the rims on it now.

Haha 2 decades and change, you might be right. But its a love thing, less a maintenance thing.

Meh, BS. Most Mercury’s aren’t even worth 10k anymore.
My daily driver I’ve spent about 900 in maintenance in over 4 years. That means I’m going to drop 9,100 in 6 years? BS

It’s an average over 10 years, so we must be talking about cars that are at least 10 years old, right?

That would include the E46. Makes sense now.
ETA: The “maintenance” cost is the price of oil changes over 10 years at dealerships. This is useless data.

“ In order to estimate annual maintenance costs, we found the amount spent on every two oil changes (as oil changes are generally done every six months).”
So as an average for all BMW vehicles, the oil change cost was $17,800 for a decade, or $1,780 per year, or $890 per oil change (assuming two per year). What the fucking fuck?
